Release notes for NAT Version 1.21m
Major additions to Version 1.21m are:
- A major memory leak has been found and repaired. This problem has
been present for a while, but has been aggrevated by recent changes
the optimized session re-use.
- Packets per second and Max PPS counts have been added to the send
and receive counts in the per-interface ifconfig display. The PPS
counts are computed every 10 seconds for the previous 10-second
period.
- ICMP mapping routines have been modified to permit ping-based
traceroute through the NAT. Previous versions supported UDP-based
traceroute like found in UNIX systems. The ping-based method is
what is used by Microsoft in their various Windows products.
- Link UP/DOWN events (for the DialNAT) are now logged via syslog if
a syslog server is configured.
- Program exit causes an exit syslog record to be sent, if a syslog
server is configured.
- Complete support has been added for the VDOLive protocol and browser
plug-in.
