Release notes for NAT Version 1.20c
Major additions to Version 1.20c are:
- Fixing an FTP "Unable to Open Data Session" bug.
This one was very tricky, and we want to thank Ray Kopsa for his
help in isolating this. The symptom was that some FTP servers,
under some conditions would refuse to use the apparent port number
that we sent them in the ftp "port" command. It turned out that
they still considered that port to be in use at our end, even
though we had exchanged messages that cleared the previous TCP session.
Our fix was to cycle through our available ports in sequence, and not
to reuse one until all others had been tried. It seems to have cured
this problem.
- Added the retrofiting of the negotiated apparent IP Address into
session blocks that were created before the PPP link was up (DialNAT
only).
