Build Our Dialer Script

Now we start filling in the blanks and building the actual dialer script.

Your ISP Phone Number

This is the complete phone number that you dial to reach your Internet Service Provider's PPP Dial-in port. It must include everything that you dial to reach it, including blocking for call waiting if you have that service on this line.

Your PPP Account Information

Now we need the User ID (account name) that you log on as to start the PPP session. The account password may also be put in the dialer script, but we'll let you do that offline. For the moment, we will put 123xyz in that field for you. After you have saved the dialer script, open it with your favorite editor and change 123xyz to the real password.

ISP Information

If you know what kind of access server your ISP uses, select it here. If you don't, leave it set to Normal, and try the resulting script. If you can't get connected and working, try another setting.

Do It!

When you press "Build my Script," we will build and return a Web page that you should save on your computer's disk. That file will need to be renamed "dialer.htm" and installed on your NAT in the c:\dialnat directory. You will need to edit the file and change "123xyz" into the real password for your PPP account.
